Custom Orthotics
Custom orthotics are specialized medical devices prescribed by a foot and ankle specialist to address specific foot issues.

Unlike over-the-counter inserts or arch supports, orthotics serve two main purposes: they can offload pressure from sensitive or prominent areas—helping with conditions like bursitis, calluses, and ulcers—and they can improve foot function in cases of tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, or other mechanical problems caused by hyper-mobility. They also provide structural support and alignment for the feet and lower limbs. The method used to capture your foot shape—whether through laser scanning, a foam box, or plaster casting—plays a crucial role in how well the orthotic fits and works.

Orthotics can also be a valuable tool in delaying surgery when it's not immediately necessary, such as in children who need to wait for their bones to mature. Additionally, they can help reduce discomfort after surgery when a perfect outcome isn’t possible.
